Dear editor:

In the March 26 and April 7 newspapers there  were letters bashing our government, especially President Trump. One letter also bashes Congress (both sides of the isle) who have needed it for a very long time.  While we read these letters, this is what we hear …

 It’s OK to be an illegal alien in this country and to take advantage of the system that is meant only for American citizens or people who came here legitimately. Billions of our tax dollars have been allowed to be stolen by people who should not get it.

It is OK to kill young women and children if you are black, brown or illegal. The killers are then portrayed as the victims. Whites kill too but they are never the victims of their crimes.

It is OK to traffic children or abuse them in whatever way suits you. Over 300,000 children have disappeared in this country. Some have been found but not all.

It is OK for Congress to have a slush fund just to stave off harassment or sexual abuse charges.

It is OK for likes of Maxine Waters to say “take Trump out” letting unhinged people interpret it however they want.

It is OK that Congress finds hating Trump more important than taking care of their own constituents. Therefore, no one gets paid but them.

It is OK that Islamic terrorists and China are trying to take over this country. It certainly would be OK for Iran to have a nuclear weapon.

It is OK for groups and individuals to defraud our country. Think California, Minnesota and USAID. They often send that money to terrorist groups in other countries.  

It is OK that our schools teach our children more about their would-be sexuality than reading, writing or arithmetic.

There is so much of the above we would never have known if President Trump wasn’t in office. We are so glad he is not allowing America to be trampled on and used for the money we can give other countries. We need to be the superpower we once were so we can help other countries who need us. If there is no more USA who will all the other continents look to for help?

Donald J. Trump knows what this country has given him and his family and they all appreciate it. There are too many people out there who do not appreciate the freedoms they have. Appreciation will come too late if this country is lost. Your ability to complain about this country or the leaders it has will be taken away. Your children and grandchildren, etc., will be the real losers.

Think about it … you would not be where you are if it wasn’t for the history that made this country great and hopefully will keep it that way. You don’t need to look too far to know that the USA is the last best place.
