What is Press Club?

Press club is a social group, brought to you by your friendly community newspaper, the Powell Tribune. We are a nonpolitical, nonreligious, business networking group. Our mission is to bring the Powell community together through a variety of events and functions.

Why join Press Club?

1. It brings local business professionals and decision-makers from different companies together to build better business relationships.
2. It provides opportunities for people to network, find new customers and, most importantly, have fun.
3. Monthly Mingles. Each month a Press Club member business has the opportunity to host a Mingle. They are tentatively scheduled at 5:30 p.m. the second Thursday of each month. We’re limited to just (12) per year, so they’re exclusive!
4. If you or your business is a subscriber to the Powell Tribune, you are a potential Press Club member. Sign up and start joining in the fun!

How do I join Press Club?

If you or your business has a subscription to the Powell Tribune, you are automatically eligible to become a Press Club member.

We have multiple people in our business who would like to join Press Club. How does that work?

All of the adults in your business are welcome to be a part of Press Club.

What benefits do I get from Press Club?

• Access to all Press Club events, like Monthly Mingles.
• Press Club newsletter, which will keep you up to date on everything going on with our group.
• One box of 250 professionally designed Business Cards for FREE. (One set per business per year)
• 10% Off one PT Identity Promotional Products order. (One order per year)
• Discounted advertising packages for Press Club and Monthly Mingle host businesses.

I’m an employee. Can my employer pay for this on my behalf?

Absolutely. Many employers view groups like Press Club as an important benefit and retention tool. Contact us for more information or have your employer reach out, and we’ll be happy to set up billing for them.

My business/organization is interested in hosting a second Thursday of the month Press Club Monthly Mingle event. How do we do that?

That’s awesome. Monthly Mingle’s are exclusive with only (12) annually. Monthly Mingle costs an average of $350 and are covered by the host business. There is a cost of $100 payable to the Tribune’s Press Club Team for handling of permits and event host management services, and an average of $250 for catered snacks, alcohol and beverages to be served.

If the business prefers the Tribune handles the catering services as well, the cost is a minimum of $350 made payable to the Powell Tribune.

In addition to the (12) Monthly Mingles, there will be added opportunities for Press Club member event hosting.
