The TV show M.A.S.H. has comedy, drama and reminds me of my grandfather who fought in Korea.

In Korea, my grandfather said you could go days even weeks without any action but then out of nowhere chaos. To a less extreme extent, most of the time that is, life in general operates this way. Everything is running normally but then your sewer line breaks, your truck stops running and you have a baby.

Life can get difficult and busy sometimes but fortunately, life is directed by the almighty God who, as we read in Psalm 135, is a good God who cares for his servants. He looks over those who are his and guides them with a caring hand.

Sometimes it does not look good, and sometimes it does not look like it is going to work out on the other end but we know for a fact that God works things after the counsel of his own will, It says so in Ephesians chapter 1 and verse 11. This appeal to scripture is not something to read and pass by. Rather, it is a truth to ruminate and hold fast to as it tells those who follow him that nothing is outside the scope of God’s mighty hand. Rather, all things though bad or good are presently and actively being worked by God to bring about the result that God desires.

The king of kings is not idly sitting on the throne and hoping for a desired outcome, but instead is working things to his will to bring about an eternal outcome that we can only imagine. We who trust in Christ need only trust in his good and omnipotent hand, know that he alone is capable of stilling the storm and bringing peace.
