Dear editor:
Dear candidates,
Now that the primary election is over, I want to thank each of you for your willingness and dedication to public service. Having said that, this election cycle seemed unlike any other we’ve seen before in Park County, Wyoming.
Aside from the usual yard signs, handshaking and candidates utilizing various forms of media to inform voters of their positions on relevant issues, voters have been inundated with multiple text messages on a daily basis, as well as automated phone calls. This practice has been extremely intrusive, unwanted, distracting and obnoxious.
Congratulations to each candidate who was successful in the primary. As we move forward into the general election, please have more consideration for your constituents and put an end to the unsolicited texts and automated calls.
Respectfully,
Carrie Hamilton
