Teri Francis Boyd was welcomed into the arms of her savior, Jesus, on Jan. 28, 2026.

She was born Oct. 1, 1943 in Oakland, California, to Arthur Wyatt and Gloria Marshman.

Teri graduated from Mt. Diablo High School in Concord, California, and went on to attend Columbia College and particpate in an apprenticeship with Dr. Stephen Teal where she became a licensed vocational nurse, a title she was very proud of and that brought her much joy.

In February of 1995 she married the love of her life, Don Boyd. Together they packed up and moved to Powell, Wyoming, to begin a new chapter to life.

Teri was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, but was also much more. She was a talented artist, seamstress, a prolific gardener, a caring nurse and loyal friend.

Teri had an enormous spot in her heart set aside for the young ones in her life. She would often burn the highway up to and from California to be sure she had an active part in her grandchildren’s lives.

She also loved gardening and farming side by side with her husband.

Teri came to have a relationship with Jesus as a young woman and served her church as well as her community in a variety of positions.

After finishing her nursing career at Northwest College she was able to spend time camping in Hyattville, kayaking with friends and traveling when possible. She lived life to the fullest and we will miss her infectious smile and abounding energy.

Teri was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved stepdad Walter Oliveira and her son Patrick Dougherty.

She is survived by husband Donald Boyd of Powell, Wyoming; sister Barbara (Jim) Heard of Pinegrove, California; children Dwayne (Laura) Dougherty of Spring Creek, Nevada; John (Debbie) Dougherty of Nampa, Idaho; Mark Dougherty of Sonora, California; stepdaughter Karen Boyd of San Andreas, California; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held March 7, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at New Life Church in Powell, Wyoming.
