Dear editor:
I don’t really know who Bill Tallen is but after reading several of his articles in the editorial page I do know that he considers himself an expert on almost everything from nuclear energy, militia, terrorism, and now immigration.
Last week’s article where he compares Obama’s immigration policies with ICE and its recent activities is ridiculous. That was two-plus presidential terms ago and at a very different time and climate in our country. I am not particularly an Obama fan but to make that comparison is another example of how our political system uses misdirection to cover real issues. The real issue is that a member or members of one of OUR government agencies shot and killed two American citizens. This is murder and as in any other it needs to be investigated and those, if proven guilty, punished as any of us would be.
It seems to me that Bill Tallen has a not so hidden agenda of promoting fear and distrust while widening the split in our country. Well Bill, I want you to know that I do not always agree with my neighbors but I like them and respect their views. That is supposed to be the American way.
