Supreme Court neglects most vulnerable

Dear editor:

I am greatly saddened that the Supreme Court of the once great State of Wyoming has decided to neglect the most vulnerable amongst us.

Not only did all but one of these justices decide that murder is now 'health care,' they will now contribute to the mental anguish that many mothers face once the reality of what they have done to their child sinks in. When you have ended the life of an innocent person who has done no wrong, that guilt is not easily dismissed. It will manifest itself for the rest of the life of the mother.

If people bothered to read the WY State Statue 35-6, it covers almost every situation that a new mother may face, except the guilt. How the court could possibly conclude that murdering an innocent child is 'Constitutional' is beyond comprehension. They must not have access to the data on the harm caused by abortion in the way of infertility, ER visits for post abortion bleeding, the emotional trauma and other harmful aftereffects that plague women who have had abortions whether they be surgical or chemical.

Our species of humankind is declining across the globe. Sadly, parents are not instructing their children about life, morals, good decisions, good behavior, etc. Young people are not being taught about sexual responsibility. They seem to consider it a 'Recreational Sport.' I pray that the pendulum swings to righteous behavior before it is too late to recover. If children were properly parented, they may never be in a situation to consider ending the life of another. And should the miracle of children be 'inconvenient' perhaps we will return to a day of adoption.

I would prefer we return to the day of orphanages. I knew orphans growing up and many became outstanding leaders and intellectuals. The Mother of Our Lord and Savior, were he conceived today in our country, would be encouraged to abort him. All human life is precious and we should do our best to encourage it and support it.

If the smallest of us is of no worth; then soon the oldest of us will also be of no worth — and age is subjective. Horton knew, 'a person's a person, no matter how small.'

I pray that the people of Wyoming speak up and write and call the justices and tell them how they feel. I would say email, but the Capitol has blocked our emails from reaching our leaders, so I do not know how best to contact my state administration these days.
