Dear editor:
Mr. Stevens, as you read my letter to the editor you must have seen I am also on the Wyoming Association of Irrigation Districts Board. I am committed to keeping irrigated agriculture viable in the great state of Wyoming, and the United States.
As stated in the previous letter to the editor, these projects were built to feed the persons of the United States. Maybe you are against agriculture production? And then also against food? In one of your letters to the editor you stated farmers should pay more for water. Farmers are on tight budgets already, that will lead to more farmers going broke. That will lead to importing more food from overseas. Does anyone think that is a good idea?
This country should be very concerned about FOOD supply, FOOD security and FOOD safety. Once again, I stated the rules of the United States government and Bureau of Reclamation. I visited with the director of the Wyoming Bureau of Reclamation. He reaffirmed what I stated in the previous letter. YOU are lucky to be even getting water. If you are against the United States government, maybe you should move away? If you don’t like farmers and food, maybe you should quit eating. YOU are lucky to be getting water!
