Ronald Paul “Ron” Ferguson of Lovell, Wyoming, was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Aug. 18, 1945, to Haskell Ferguson and Lena “Peggy” Ferguson. He passed away peacefully on Aug. 21, 2026, in Cody, Wyoming a few days after his 81st birthday.
A certified public accountant by profession, Ron lived a life filled with family, memories, and experiences that will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved him. His presence touched the lives of his family and friends, and the stories, laughter, and memories he leaves behind will continue to be shared for generations.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Marsha. His children, Jessica Whitacre, and husband, Jackson; Scott Ferguson and wife, Angela; Christopher Ferguson, and wife Kirsty; Rhonda Gatch and husband, Cody; Marlon Ferguson, and wife Pamela. He is also survived by grandchildren, Justin, Brittany, David, James, Leah, Chandler, Westley, Jaden, Xander, Sophie, Nathan, Austin and Bailey. Seven great-grandchildren with an eighth on the way, along with a host of friends.
On Friday, Aug. 28, 2026, there will be a viewing at Haskell Funeral Home at 2 p.m. and a graveside service is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Lovell Cemetery. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at the Haskell Funeral Home on Saturday, Aug. 29 at 2 p.m. in Lovell, Wyoming.
Ron will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
