Dear editor:
I read the interesting reply which Marina Tucker wrote expressing her “disappointment “that the Tribune published yet another negative letter” about her “written by another person I’ve never met.”
Ms. Tucker, you have declared your candidacy to represent the Republican Party’s nomination for Park County Attorney. By declaring your candidacy, you have invited all the voters to examine your background and experience to judge for themselves your qualifications, temperament, knowledge, decision-making skills and maturity among all the considerations prior to casting their ballot. You are not going to know all these people; indeed, the vast majority you will have never met. Just because you have never met them does not mean they are not entitled to express their opinions about your qualifications for county attorney.
I found this was very interesting in the reply to “written by another person I’ve never met.” (Mr. Becket Hinckley). Ms. Tucker mentioned he now lives in California. She mentioned his suspension from the practice of law in 2022.
But she did not deny ANY of the quoted text in his original letter to the editor purported to be authored by Ms. Tucker. She did not deny any of the statements he further addressed in his letter. She simply played the victim card stating she was not “accurately portrayed.” She also said she would happily provide “it” (whatever “it” is) to anyone to judge for themselves.
Yet, nothing was offered. Attacking the messenger but ignoring the message which exposes the political hypocrisy. Classic Left strategy. The Left continues to use this tactic because there was a time when this type of reply worked for them. Not anymore. Americans have had ENOUGH. It is time to stand up and be counted.
I do not know Mr. Hinckley or Ms. Tucker. I have never met either person.
But I do have a dog in this fight. The county attorney holds immense power in determining who will and who will not be charged and how serious are the filed charges.
I and others will no longer remain silent while potentially someone acting as an activist refuses to stay in their lane as attorneys. They aspire to become social justice warrior wannabes.
I am not saying Ms. Tucker would do this. I am not saying that will happen. I am saying myself and others have been down this road before and are no longer willing to take that chance.
The Democrats/RINOS have been too gone for too long.
Stop asking if its homophobic.
Stop asking if its transphobic.
Stop asking if its racist.
Stop asking if its anti-Semitic.
START ASKING IF IT IS TRUE.
