Dear editor:

When one aligns oneself to a group or community, it generally means that one also aligns oneself with the goals and precepts of that community or group. If you do not align with the precepts, then why align oneself to the group?

Because of the climate today, (not the weather) it becomes increasingly obvious that many folks are ‘joining’ a particular group, not to support and further it, but to meddle in it, cause friction and attempt to disband or co-opt the group.

So, when groups are asking for your opinion, such as a questionnaire to determine if the group wishes to support a candidate for office, it is to ensure that you are in support of the same precepts as the group.

By refusing to complete the questionnaire, it gives the appearance of disagreement. If one truly agrees with the group’s goals and beliefs, there should be no issue with completing the questionnaire. If being held to the standards of the group is problematic, then perhaps the person should leave the group and align with a group to which they are more suited or to become what is known as ‘unaffiliated.’

If stating your precepts and goals is something you are uncomfortable with, then perhaps a time for reflection and self-evaluation is in order.

Every person has an agenda, either good or bad, informed or not, for God, family and country or something else. Working in the public spaces puts one on display for all the community. It is a tough decision to work for the people and there will always be a portion that love you, hate you or just care not. Understanding this is the first commitment a person makes to work in public office.

In the public eye, it is not just the ability to complete the job’s tasks, but to do so with the community’s best interest and not interest of oneself. Often to do the ‘right’ thing is not the popular thing and one must follow the laws set before the office, the city, the county, the state and the nation.

Our POTUS is a fine example. This man has been the same man from the 1980s to today. A man who has always put what is just and correct first. I have watched and witnessed his remarks and his actions for decades. He supports the same precepts that I remember hearing him claiming to support back then. He does not choose to lead our country for self-benefit, but to save the country that he loves for his children and his grandchildren.

His efforts are bringing our world to a peace only dreamed about. The uniting of Arab countries that no one thought could ever accomplish. Removing evil from the world by cutting off the head of the snake funding the terrorist organizations around the globe. Creating a path for energy for all people around the planet.

Yet, there are those who continually lie bold faced about his efforts and hope to sway the radical ‘useful’ idiots to commit atrocities around the world. The globalists want tyranny and chaos, our POTUS wants peace and prosperity for all. The reason he left the Democrat Party was because their precepts changed and he found a new group which aligned more closely with his beliefs.
