Lola Faye Holdsworth was the oldest of two children born to Henry and Delora (Coleman) Cannon in Arkansas on Feb. 23, 1934. Through the years she lived in many places.
She met and fell in love with Robert Earl Holdsworth in Kingman, Arizona, while their parents worked on the Hoover Dam. They married May 29, 1950 and later moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to raise their family. To this union was born eight children: Beverly, Wayne, Richard, Dale, James, Betty, Lenora and LaVern. Robert passed away April 2, 1973, leaving Lola to raise the kids on her own. She moved to Powell, Wyoming, shortly after Bob passed away and worked hard to make a good life for her children.
She worked with the Park County School District clear up to retirement. She was known for her great work ethic and her love for her family. Later in life she kept up with a multitude of hobbies such as knitting, crocheting, and making things out of recycled materials. She was an avid reader. Lola couldn’t pass up a pretty orchid. Her walls were covered in pictures of her family from birth on up always surrounded by family. She spent her weekends going for drives with her kids and stopping by the casino or quick stop to buy scratch tickets. She loved spending time with her family ... kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, husband and a great-grandchild. Survivors include: Bev (Doug) Huggins, Wayne Holdsworth, Richard (Marie) Holdsworth, Dale (Cindy) Holdsworth, Jim Holdsworth, Betty (Kurtis Burnett, Lenora Gee and LaVern Holdsworth, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
