Dear editor:
I once watched as a plumber sent a camera down a wastewater pipe to locate an obstruction.
I bring this up because, while the comment by Troy Bray about “hanging bad judges” (CJ Baker’s story in the April 30 issue of your paper) caught the headline, a later quote by Mr. Bray also piqued my interest. He is quoted in the article as having said “We need to fix our system because we keep getting lawyers as judges.”
It’s so refreshing to see our lawmakers so unencumbered by inconveniences like rational thinking. While the cost of a professional plumber is not inconsequential, a plumber is far less expensive than a practicing medical doctor. I invite Mr. Bray to propose a city ordinance that would allow plumbers to legally perform colonoscopies.
