Dear editor:
I read with dismay the article regarding Charlie Kirk being a prophet.
Simply put, biblically Charlie was not a prophet, because he did not fulfill the requirements of that office. As on the Opinon page in the Oct. 7 paper, Charlie was not “a prophet much like Jesus himself.”
To make such a claim as Scott Weber said borders on blasphemy. I invite Mr. Weber to repent and adjust this for next time.
Litmus tests for a true prophet are delineated in Deuteronomy 18:18, along with how to detect a false prophet. I honestly believe that Charlie Kirk would roll over in his grave at such a title bestowed upon him.
Thank you for listening.
Sincerely,
Tom Young
