Joshua Ronald Kokkeler born Feb. 14, 1983 in Powell, Wyoming, passed away March 9, 2026 at the Billings Clinic Hospital at the age of 43.
He was the son of Ronald Kokkeler and Susan (Taylor, Kokkeler) Hamman. He grew up in Belfry, Montana, and Cody and Powell, Wyoming. Powell was where he attended his school years. On Nov. 20, 2005 he married Taryn Nielsen in Clark, Wyoming, at the Bennett Creek Church. Out of that union they had two children, Bayley and Devin Kokkeler. They later divorced.
Josh worked for R&S and J&R well service, Big Horn Co-op, did over the road truck driving after getting his CDL license, and drove beet truck. Josh was one who had a witty sense of humor. He loved to fish, barbecue and played guitar and drums. He was very gifted and good at a lot of things.
Josh was preceded in death by Erica Young, by grandpa Don Taylor who thought the world of him, and grandparents Don and Sally Kokkeler.
He is survived by his father Ron Kokkeler of Belfry, Montana; mother Susan Hamman (Darrell) of Powell, Wyoming; sister Dr. Jennifer Doser (Tom) and their children Madalyn, Dutch and Maverick of Laramie, Wyoming; sister Lindsey Mitchell (Justin) and their children Liv and Camden of Billings, Montana; grandmother Jane Taylor of Billings, Montana, who called him Josh-a-roo, and many aunts and uncles and cousins. He confessed his faith in Jesus in 2002 although he had many earthly struggles. He will be deeply missed but his struggles are now over. Services will be held March 28 at 10 a.m. at New Life Church in Powell, Wyoming. Pastor Tim Morrow will be officiating the service. Luncheon will be following the service.
