The University of Wyoming pride in NFL quarterback Josh Allen as one of its most famous alums is being formalized in a partnership between UW and the Buffalo Bills football organization.
UW believes it can build a student recruitment pipeline in the region of Western New York and among Bills fans everywhere. A first “UW Day” at a Bills football game took place last year.
This fall, UW will engage in marketing and recruitment activities in Buffalo in the days leading up to and including the Bills’ Nov. 1 football game against the Baltimore Ravens. UW and the Buffalo Bills have inked a partnership agreement for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 seasons.
“We had an incredible experience in and around Buffalo last year, and the increase we’ve seen in student applications, confirmed students and overall interest in UW from our efforts in Western New York indicates that something special could be getting started,” says Chad Baldwin, UW’s associate vice president for marketing and communications.
“The people of Western New York and the Cowboy State share multiple characteristics — grit, blue-collar work ethic, a bison on our flags, and both amazing friendliness and a toughness that matches our winter weather,” he added.
