Dear editor:
You and I, as Republicans, have once again started receiving those large, expensive, derogatory postcards that distort and lie in an attempt at a character assassination of any member of our community who happens to be running for office in opposition to one of their puppet candidates. The cards do not even attempt a debate. That is not their point. These cards are coming from an out of state agenda (rich and powerful) whose only concern is to elect candidates whose strings they hold. Don’t fool yourself, their agenda is not about electing candidates who would work to meet the needs of our state and it populace (us).
No, they want candidates who will allow them to use our state’s resources, undermine our basic services, sell our public lands and in general take anything they feel they might want to increase their profits. The cards have worked so well for them in the past that I was only waiting to see that ugly head arise again, and here we go.
The advertising firm that they are hiring to create this ugliness must be laughing themselves into hilarity when they see how easily and effectively they have taken control of our state’s politics. We have proven ourselves very susceptible to their puppet show. This does not have to be the way we in Wyoming elect the individuals who will represent us.
I believe there is a great book that says “love thy neighbor” and not only if you agree. We don’t need candidates who rely on lies, distortion, and ugliness to win an election and represent us. We need candidates with integrity and human values who will actually work for the needs of Wyoming. We can cut the puppet strings. We can vote to do so.

I agree with Martin. The large, hugely expensive postcards that are coming around, averaging approximately $4000/county, (and all the other words he said in his first sentence) are out of control. The only cards I've seen that are derogatory are AGAINST those on the Good Guy List put out by Park County Patriots.net. I've only recently kept track but one was from Casper and lots have been from the Americans For Prosperity. AFP is out of Virginia. They are trying to help elect RINOs while attacking conservatives who have proven records of fighting for conservative values.
I agree with the rest of Martin's letter too. The postcards I see are bashing Matt Legler, Paul Hoeft, Tom Kelly, Chuck Gray, and Brent Bien. All Good Guys, proven Conservatives who have "integrity and human values who will actually work for the needs of Wyoming." Martin goes on to say that "We can cut the puppet strings. We can vote to do so." Once again, I agree with Martin. True Conservatives have only had a slight majority for the last year and a half. We can cut the puppet strings of all those who "rely on lies, distortion, and ugliness to win an election and represent us." (Granted many of the postcards I have seen are coming from PACs. Probably the ones Martin has seen are too.) But there are many of the old guard that have been in office for many years who have lied and distorted the voting records of the Good Guys and they do it ALL the time, just not during the election.
It's time to get more True Conservatives, more Good Guys, into office so that we can bring Wyoming back from the brink of the destruction of leftist policies. Vote for the Good Guys on the list on ParkCountyPatriots.net to get back to True Conservative values in Wyoming.
