Mid-September arrived and the Good Old Boys continued to hit the course on Sept. 15 and 22, as the game of choice for the first game was Two Best Ball.
In this game, each team uses their two best net scores for their team score. In first place with a score of 127 was the team of Randy Mair, Cas Seago, Ray Nelson and Gerry Johns.
Second place went to the quartet of Ed Swistak, Terry Lane, Dennis McCollum and Judge Gimbill with a 134.
Third place with a score of 137 was the team of Larry Hedderman, Joe Comer, Olie Olson and Bob Varian.
Rounding out the team scores with a 139 was the grouping of Paul Devoss, Dave Frost, Lloyd Snyder and Marc Saylor.
Lane had the lone deuce of the day on hole No. 15.
Mair, Seago and Johns all tied for the low net with a 72 while Varian and McCollum tied for the low gross with an 88.
The second game of choice was a match of 51-42-33. In this game each team uses one net ball on par fives, two net balls on par fours and three net balls on par threes.
The winning team was Varian, Mair, Johns and Swistak with a 116.
Second place with a 120 was the team of Stephen Burtoft, Seago, Thom Seliga and Snyder.
Finishing three strokes behind in third was the team of Hedderman and Saylor with blind draws of Seliga and Frost.
Fourth place went to the team of Nelson, Devoss, Comer and Frost with a 128.
Rounding out the team scores with a 131 was the grouping of Don Hardy, McCollum, Olson and Lane.
Three deuces were carded, including Olson on hole No. 4, Hardy on No. 15 and Hedderman on No. 17.
The low net went to Seliga with a 66 and the low gross was Varian with an 85.
