Spring weather has got the Good Old Boys back out on the course, as the 2026 slate started on May 12 at the Powell Golf Club.
The game of choice was two best ball to start the year.
First place went to the team of Ollie Olsen, Gerry Johns, Bob Varian and Lloyd Snyder with a score of 119.
Just two points behind in second place was the team of Stephen Burtoft, Ed Swistak, Curt Dugger and Don Hardy.
Third place went to the team of Randy Mair, Ray Nelson, Dave Frost and a blind draw of Varian for
a 127.
Finishing in fourth with a score of 130 was the team of Paul Devoss, Dennis McCollum, Clark Jeffs and Cas Seago.
One deuce was carded by Swistak on hole No. 8.
Hardy had the low gross of 74, Johns had the low net of 65.
Johns recorded a hole-in-one on hole No. 15.
