Dear editor:
Caucus, noun, 1 of 2 (From Mirriam Webster)
Synonyms of caucus:
a closed meeting of a group of persons belonging to the same political party or faction usually to select candidates or to decide on policy
a presidential caucus
also: a group of people united to promote an agreed-upon cause
Similarly, you and I caucus with like-minded people every day. Which is quite normal. It is called freedom of speech and the exercise thereof.
What is not normal is for one caucus to demonize the other as if they should not exist. Democrats have a caucus. Rinos (Republicans in name only) have a caucus. And the Freedom Caucus — which are true Republicans. I suggest that you read the Wyoming Republican Party Platform. It champions your rights.
Basic principles of the Freedom Caucus are derived from the U.S. Constitution, the Wyoming Constitution and the platform of the Wyoming Republican Party. Each of these documents are built on Christian principles. Read them and you will see that this is the path to sound governance!
When you hear about the evils of the Freedom Caucus remember that there is a fight between good and evil and it is your freedom of speech that the left intends to take away. Do not fall for it. It is we the people and the Freedom Caucus who want freedom of speech for everyone!
