Dear editor:
On Sept. 13, a Wyoming delegation joined 250 state legislators from all 50 states on a diplomatic mission to Israel called “50 States, One Israel,” hosted by the Israeli government at no cost to taxpayers.
Legislators met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other national leaders, and visited the sites of the Oct. 7 attacks. Their mission was about global diplomacy, but also about affirming the principles we hold dear here at home — faith, family and freedom.
Park County Sen. Dan Laursen, R-Powell, was a member of the Wyoming delegation, and will share his reflections on the trip, including what he saw, heard and learned during his time in Israel.
The event 50 States — 1 Israel (An Evening With State Sen. Dan Laursen) will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 12 (6-7:30 p.m.) in the Grizzly Room of Park County Library in Cody.
This event is hosted by the group Park County Conservative Women, and is open to the public. All are welcome.
