Ellen Slater, 90, passed away on Friday, Sept. 17, at Powell Valley Care Center. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at the Homesteader Park shelter, by the recreational office. Family will be there at 1 p.m., with a short service starting at 1:30 p.m. Burial of the cremains will be in Glenwood, Iowa, at a later date. A full obituary will follow.
