Duane Edwin Ruskowsky, passed away on July 2, 2026 at his home in Cody, Wyoming. He was born May 8, 1976 in Cody, Wyoming, graduating from Cody High School in 1995. Duane worked for Jim Bruno at Mountain View Lodge up North Fork for a couple years, then K-mart before he found his calling at UBC as a yard hand. He worked at few different lumber companies before settling in at Builder First Source in Cody, Wyoming. He was the yard foreman for many years, gaining many contractor and customer friends.
Duane loved to fish, eat at his favorite restaurants, and bowling when the leagues were going on. He played in pool leagues as a sub when needed too. He was always there to lend a hand, always giving more.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Linda Ruskowsky, He is survived by his big little brother Alan (Amy) Ruskowsky, sister Pam (Steve) Cruz, fishing buddy and niece Madison Ruskowsky, nieces Sara and Rebecca McLendon, nephew Dale Cruz, and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
We lost one of the best men, my brother Duane. He was truly a big hearted, loveable man! They say the good die young and that was him. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him, until we meet again Duane.
Services are planned for Saturday July, 18 2026 at 9 a.m. at the House of Prayer Evangelical at 602 Blackburn Ave. in Cody with a graveside burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
