It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Donald Eugene Boyd. Don departed peacefully from this world at home on June 18, 2026 at the age of 84, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work and adventure.
Born on Oct. 4 of 1941 in Tracy, California, he was the first born of six children to Ralf and Minnie Boyd.
At 19 years of age, Don proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1961-1964, stationed in Germany. During his service, he was recognized for is marksmanship with the M-14, a testament to his dedication and skill.
He had a great love for the mountains and the outdoors and found his calling in the logging and construction industry, where he became a well respected and sought after blade operator. His professional journey led him to build his own construction company in California. The business did very well for him marking a significant personal accomplishment.
After several years of personal trials and tragedies, Don met and married the love of his life, Teri Boyd. An avid outdoorsman, he found solace and joy in elk hunting and fishing in the high mountain waters. His love for nature and adventure is what brought Don and Teri to the majestic landscapes of Wyoming. It was here in Wyoming where he was able to live how he wanted and be surrounded by the things he loved.
Everyone who knew him, knew how he loved to tell stories. He shared countless memories and campfire stories, many that included his good friends John Allen, Craig and Andrew Whitlock. His stories would brighten any room and keep everyone laughing. He did however later in life chuckle and admit that some tales may have been slightly embellished.
Don also found great joy in the little farm he and Teri created. He took great pride in his garden and loved his time in the hay fields
He was preceded in death by only four months by his beloved wife, Teri Francis Boyd, who was a constant source of inspiration and love in his life.
