Dan Richard Chapman passed away on Aug. 2, 2025. He was born Oct. 25, 1951, to Richard and Dorothy (Bessler) Chapman in Powell, Wyoming and attended first to most of fifth grade in Cody, Wyoming, fifth to eighth grade in Belfry, Montana, and high school in Greybull, Wyoming where he graduated with the class of 1970.
Dan enlisted in the Navy (1970-1974) and served time in Vietnam and was very proud of his service. He was a musician and loved to play guitar and sing for people. Dan’s generous spirit was apparent to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father Richard, mother Dorothy, sister Dianne, son Richard and brother-in-law Lynn Terry. He will be missed by his wife Jeanette (Willey) Chapman, children Keca (Jason) Chapman, Kirk (Michelle) Chapman, Ray (Misty) Chapman, his three grandchildren Wyatt, Mariah, Alexia, great-granddaughter Davina and sister Dee Terry.

A funeral service will be held at the Lutheran Church in Cordes Lakes, Arizona, at 2 p.m. on Aug. 23, 2025. Military honors and spreading of ashes will be in Wyoming in the spring.
