It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Daniel James Gerard Brice, 68, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Nov. 29, 2024, surrounded with love by his wife and three children.
Daniel was born on April 20, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri, but spent 40 of his adult years in Cody, Wyoming, and retired in Mesquite, Nevada. He was a devoted husband, father, papa, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kim Brice, whose partnership and love enriched his life for 50 years. Together, they built a family rooted in faith, love, kindness and resilience.
Daniel’s legacy lives on through his children: Jessica (Jeff) LaMascus, Joshua (Lindsey) Brice, and Katie Jo Murphy. He was also a proud papa to nine grandchildren who brought him great joy: Kayleigh, Melody, Dylan, Layla, Gavyn, Jaida, Isaac, Ashlyn and Jessalyn.
He is also survived by his sisters, Kathleen Brice and Maureen Seper, who shared in his life’s journey, as well as his sisters and brothers-in law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Dorothy Brice, and his sister, Patricia Brice.
Dan will be deeply mourned by all who knew him and he was greatly loved by many. He will be remembered for always making friendly conversation with anyone he came in contact with and his quick wit. He had a caring, warm heart and always put the needs of others ahead of his own. He was honest, loyal, dedicated and hardworking, devoted to God and his family. His laughter and sense of humor touched all who knew him, and his memory will be forever cherished.
