Country founded on love of God

Dear editor:

When I was in school, we learned that the Founding Fathers, who took tremendous risk, came to this land to create a new life. Free to worship God and to live in harmony with one another as the ‘Good Book’ said to do. They made friends with the people already here and helped one another.

They strove to create a truly free country, without the yoke of a distance monarch who twisted his original contract and broke his word. In so doing, these colonists declared a land free for all men (mankind) who were created by God with the right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness — as long as these did not infringe upon one another as written in God’s law.

These colonists loved and respected their creator who gave them the following rules:

Love God above all else and love one another.

That means do not murder, do not rob, do not lie, respect your parents, do not lust after things that are not yours. Pretty simple?

The devil tries his best to confuse these simple rules.

This country is governed by our rules — a constitutional republic; Not Mohammed, not some parliament, not anarchy nor tribe.

Simple, if you adhere to our rules, you are welcome. If you do not obey our rules, you are not.

Please remind your elected of these things and more importantly VOTE with these things in mind.

If you do not ‘believe’ in God, perhaps you need to move to a country where God is not present. But the smart money is to live in a country where life is sacred and the right to life is supported. Know this, your creator lives, even the devil believes in him. If you are unsure, perhaps it is time for you to find out.
