Dear editor:
Let's have another NO KINGS RALLY! This time we need to focus on the actions of our beloved county commissioners. They act like dictators and don't care about those they should listen to, unlike President Trump who has the American peoples’ interest at heart. The commissioners don't care. There is Scott Steward saying "we will pass the land use plan whether or not you like it," as well as the commissioners recently voting to make sure the election is conducted by machine rather than hand counted by the people.
The Park County GOP central committee and the state GOP central committee along with Secretary of State Chuck Gray say that the commissioners have the statuary authority to make the change, and passed a resolution demanding hand counting election ballots, they still refuse.
They hide behind the county attorney and the attorney general and claim they are doing the right thing. They discredit a group of us as irrelevant and claim our survey which asked "Would you prefer to have your election ballots hand counted by extensively trained officials rather than machine counted?" as not relevant. Our survey had over 800 people respond with 87% wanting hand counting.
If you think the commissioners are out of control and ignoring you let them know by calling them or emailing them. It is time for them to act like they represent us for a change.
