Dear editor:
To all rural Park County property owners:
To learn what you can or cannot do on your rural property, you must open the engageparkcounty.com website, register your information to open the maps, find the new color of your property on the map to learn what zone it is now. Then open the June Draft Use Table to see the 8 Zones, 13 Use categories with 255 Special Use Permits required, 181 other permits required, 74 prohibited uses and 27 uses allowed without permission.
Since the June 22 deadline to comment on that site has passed, you must relay your questions and concerns about your rights to use your rural property via email, phone or in person.
PLEASE send them to the commissioners who care.
Planning & Zoning:
Duncan Bonine, commission chairman — duncan.bonine@parkcounty-wy.gov
Brian Peters, commission vice chairman — brian.peters@parkcounty-wy.gov
Kimberly Brandon, commission member — kimberly.brandon@parkcounty-wy-gov
Lloyd Thiel, county commissioner — lloyd.thiel@parkcounty-wy.gov or 307-272-9372
THEY are listening.
You may also attend a Planning and Zoning meeting Wednesday, July 15 from 9-11 a.m. in the EOC basement room for a possible opportunity to voice concerns for the commission to review. Replies may need research with answers provided at another time.
