Carol Jane Jaussaud went home to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Carol was the youngest of six children, born to Herbert and Lucille Christman, on Nov. 19, 1940. She grew up on the family ranch in Poway, California. She married her high school sweetheart, Albert Jaussaud in 1957. They had four children and as the children grew, so did the population of California. Carol’s sister had moved to Cody, Wyoming, and after their first visit to see her they were hooked on clean air and beautiful mountains. In 1979 the family was transferred up in the phone company, so they moved to Casper, Wyoming. After Casper they moved to Sheridan for a while before finally moving to Cody, where they stayed.

Carol got her amateur radio license and joined her husband in HAM radio. She achieved an extra class license, which was the highest you can have. She was active in radio for the rest of her life. Carol was an active member of the Big Horn Basin Amateur Radio Club, where she made lifelong friends and fellowship.

Carol also had a lifelong love of sewing. After clothing her family, she started quilting. She was active in Quilt Guild and loved making quilts for her 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Carol loved being a wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma (Grandma Great). She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and the family he gave her. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

Carol is survived by her daughter Jeanie Kieft (Johnny), daughter Judy Marsh (John), son Dennis Jaussaud (Kristine), and daughter Janet Neuman (Ron) and sister Pat Christman; grandchildren Bryan Kieft, Sarah Martinson (Andy), Jeb Marsh (Whitney), Ben Marsh (Brandi), Trapper John Marsh (Amanda), Drew Jaussaud (Craig), Dude Jaussaud, Destany Mayfield (Michael), Alan Neuman and Kirby Neuman; great-grandchildren Abby, Eddie, Lincoln and Lily Martinson, Sophia, Jonah, Carter, Peyton and McKenzie Marsh, Miles Mayfield, Ashton Neuman and Sawyer Schrader.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life Albert, her parents and granddaughter Tracey Schrader.

As per her wishes, there will be no service.

Memories and condolences can be shared on Carol’s memorial page at ballardfh.com
