Angela Hilliard, 60, passed away peacefully at her home in Powell, Wyoming, on Feb. 24, 2026. She was born on June 6, 1965, in Auburn, California.
Angela spent her early childhood in Auburn before moving with her family to Cody, Wyoming. It was there that she met the love of her life, Greg Hilliard. The two were married in 1985 in a heartfelt ceremony at Greg’s mother Judy’s home, standing beneath the large tree in the front yard — a place that remained special in family memories for years to come.
Angela and Greg welcomed their son, Chance, who was the light of her life. Shortly after Chance was born, the family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, to be closer to Greg’s mother, Judy. They made Las Vegas their home for 28 years. During that time, Angela cherished family barbecues, four-wheeling adventures, archery and sunny afternoons spent laying by the pool. More than anything, she treasured swimming and laughing with her grandchildren.
In 2016, Angela and Greg moved to Myrtle Creek, Oregon, to be closer to Greg’s father, Don, and to enjoy their retirement years surrounded by family. In 2023, wanting to be closer to their son Chance and his family, they returned to Wyoming, settling in Powell. There, Angela found joy in gardening, taking walks with her beloved dog Max, and spending precious time with her granddaughters, Grace and Claire.
Angela will be remembered for her deep love of family, her warm spirit, and the simple joys she found in time spent together. She created a home wherever she lived, filling it with laughter, good food, and lasting memories.
She is survived by her loving husband, Greg, her brother Michael, her son, Chance (Erica), and her cherished granddaughters, Grace and Claire. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Ballard Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 11 a.m. with committal services to follow at the Belfry Cemetery.
