All we are asking ...

Dear editor:

In a letter titled “Responding to previous letter” in the Tribune on May 19, we would like to clarify a few things that were stated.

We are not asking that people believe everything we say, but we strive for accuracy. If our comments get people thinking and researching for themselves, we have accomplished our goal.

 1. All Muslims are raised with the Koran. The Koran is a doctrine that tells all Muslims that they must destroy all infidels in order to achieve world subjugation. So, “death to America” are not simply words as the author states, it’s an instruction in the Koran. Do we believe that all Muslims strictly follow the Koran? No, we do not. No, Iran is not the only country we need to keep an eye on, but knowing that they are required to destroy us and that a nuclear weapon in the hands of a zealot theocracy puts them at the top of the list. True, others possess nuclear capabilities, but most are not radical Muslim theocracies. Additionally, if Iran was truly making enriched uranium for power plant fuel, they wouldn’t have to do it in secret.

2. The JCPOA or “Obama nuclear deal”  and the countries involved believed that it was negotiated in good faith. Iran violated the treaty numerous times, since the Koran also tells them to lie or use deceit toward infidels so as to achieve their goals, that is what they did and are still doing. A case in point is the surprise launch of a ballistic missile at Diego Garcia, a distance of roughly 2,500 miles, which puts most of Europe in range. Iran was expected to report any missile capable of reaching 1,000 miles yet we did not know about this one until they used it — another violation. Should we necessarily believe their compliance in current negotiations?

3. If you have ever lived near a mosque, you would hear the call to prayer five times a day. We know this because we lived in Saudi Arabia for several years. It really is obnoxious to non-Muslims.

4. Yes, we do know a lot about Barack Obama. We know there are many questions about the man that to this point remain unanswered.

5. In today’s vocabulary to be “woke” is to consider yourself a victim. As a “woke” person you are allowed to destroy the lives of other people by looting or burning businesses or homes. It is called “peaceful rioting." The old Websters does not cover the current usage.

6. Yes, Americans are suffering but things will get better as they always do. We are a tough nation which has survived through thick and thin for 250 years. If the legacy media would quit telling their audience how miserable they should feel it would help.

7. In street interviews people have admitted being paid to protest. Have you wondered why they don’t carry handmade signs or why there are piles of bricks and cinder blocks delivered and ready for them to throw when they get to the site of the protest?

Once again, our goal is to get the reader to think or investigate for themselves. You will believe or disbelieve according to your own conscience and influences. Aubry Shines says, “Don’t take my word for it, look it up for yourself.” Enough said!

Respectfully,

Linda and Bob Graff
