The Powell American Legion Auxiliary and much appreciated volunteers placed 424 sponsored wreaths on veterans’ graves at Crown Hill Cemetery on Dec. 14 — National Wreaths Across America Day 2024.
The legion was short of its goal to cover all 670-plus veteran graves at Crown Hill Cemetery this year and is asking for help to make sure they can remember and honor every veteran in 2025.
Wreaths Across America is again offering a buy one, get one deal. For every wreath purchased from now through Jan. 17, Wreaths Across America will donate an additional wreath.
Sponsors can purchase the $17 wreaths online at wreathsacrossamerica.org/WY0039P, through our Sponsorship Group. You must use a sponsorship group ID to qualify for the buy one, get one deal For more information, contact Ruth Ross, location coordinator, at 307-202-8377.
