CODY — The Winter Book Fair is coming to the Cody Library on Jan. 24.

The event is a multi-genre book signing featuring bestselling authors of romance, Western, suspense, thriller, mystery, historical, science fiction and  children’s books.

With over 20 authors set to attend from around the region,  readers and attendees can expect to meet old favorites and discover new ones.  This event is your chance to explore our vibrant literary community, discover  amazing books, and participate in engaging workshops and classes.

Sponsored by the Park County Library Foundation, the event will take place from  9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Cody Library. In attendance will be more than 20 authors from all over the region, including bestselling and award-winning authors  of every genre.

Attending authors include bestselling authors Pauline Baird Jones, Cassandra  Joelle, K.J. Gillenwater, Michael B. Riley, Millie Copper, Tam deRudder Jackson, Melissa Cook and Linda Rae Sande.

Workshops and classes will be offered free to the public from 9:15 a.m. to 12:10 p.m.

Instructors include Mike Johnson (Nonfiction Freelance Writing — Turn What You Know into Dough!), Lydia Yoder (The Prolific Author), Pauline Baird Jones (Ramping Up the Action in Your Suspense or Thriller Novel and How to Train ChatGPT to Speak Your Author Brand Voice), Michael B. Riley (Writing Memoir: Find Your Vehicle), Thomas Young (From Conception to Publication — You Can Do It!), Bob Berry (Yellowstone Yesterday & Today), and Linda Rae Sande (Rip Up the Rules and You Wrote a Book — Now What?).

Author readings begin at 12:10 p.m. in the Grizzly Room and continue throughout the afternoon. Participating authors will read eight-minute excerpts from their book.

Tickets for some amazing raffle baskets will be available for purchase at the event, and all raffle proceeds and sales from donated books will benefit the new Powell Library.

Just for the Winter Book Fair, Pardners Cafe will offer a limited breakfast and  lunch menu from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Visit the website parkcountylibrary.org for updates.

There will be numerous giveaways and prizes and admission is free. Volunteers from the Park County Library Foundation will be selling tickets for raffle baskets that will benefit the Powell  Library. Many authors will have giveaways, prizes and swag at their tables.
