Rose Ann Florence Jenkins passed away at midnight on Dec. 17, 2023, in Billings Clinic Hospital in Billings, Montana with her husband, daughter, and two sisters by her side.  Rose was born July 24, 1945, to Severin Spiczka and Esther (Hudson) Spiczka in St. Paul, Minnesota and was the oldest of four sisters.  She met and married her wonderful husband — and hero — Michael Jenkins and they married on Oct. 1, 1979, in Missoula, Montana.  After a long stay in Henry, South Dakota and watching two of their combined four children grow up and graduate from Henry, they ended up having an epic adventure making their way to Minnesota, Wyoming, back to Montana, even settling down in Valdez, Alaska for 11 years before moving closer to family on both sides, and officially calling Powell, Wyoming home in July of 2019.

Rose loved her family and friends dearly and held them very close to her heart. She was the type of person who allowed you to see the good in all things.  Rose was as strong as she was kind. In her younger years she had a love for horses and the outdoors. As the years grew on, she became fonder of reading, crafting and found comfort in doing both for hours at a time. She could be found in her impressive craft room creating away with one of many new gadgets, stamps or patterns; usually with their dog, Blaze, by her side keeping a close eye on things. If she wasn't doing either of those you could find her taking on another word search, crossword puzzle; sometimes even reading an issue of National Enquirer just like her mother used to.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Michael Jenkins; son Jason (Kaley) Jenkins and their children Everett and Remy-Mae; daughter Holly Jenkins; daughter-in-law Kami Allen and her children Brady and Keeley; son-in-law Shaun Galford and his daughter Candy; sister Judy Bowers; sister Janet (John) Guest; 19 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Severin and Esther Spiczka, sister Geraldine "Geri" Holland, daughter Lisa Galford and son Lynn Allen.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Powell, Wyoming with a visitation one hour prior and a small luncheon to follow.
