Richard “Dick” Frederick Summers of Greybull was at home surrounded by his family when he passed from this life on June 7, 2024. He was 68.
Dick was born April 10, 1956, in Powell, Wyoming to Lloyd and Grace (Bessler) Summers. He graduated from school in Powell and worked in the area until he met the love of his life, Rachel Foster. They were married Oct. 2, 1981 and spent Dick’s remaining years together. Dick and Rachel moved around some, spending time living in Phoenix, Arizona, Powell and Greybull. They raised two children, Joshua Richard and Jessica Rachel. Dick and Rachel were also blessed with four grandchildren during their lifelong union.
Dick is survived by his wife, Rachel Summers of Greybull; son Josh (Elisha) Summers of Powell; daughter Jessica Cullen of Papillion, Nebraska; brother Albert (Kyeson) Summers of Spokane, Washington; sister Anna (Boomer) Clifton of Powell; his grandchildren, and three nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Grace Summers.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 10 at 7 p.m. at the Elks, 581 N. Clark St., Powell, Wyoming. We invite those who would like to share their memories of Dick to join the family.
