Richard “Craig” Nielsen, 68, of Powell, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

He was born to the late Harry “Dick” and Ethel “Peg” Nielsen, March 20, 1956, in Seattle, Washington. Craig graduated from Bothell High School in 1974. He was in a relationship with Sally Adams-Reinhart, and they lived together in Casper, Wyoming. 

Craig was a long-haul truck driver until he retired in 2018. He was the owner/operator of Nielsen Freight Lines and had a passion for driving the open roads all over the West and Midwest. Craig loved his family, fishing and watching movies with those closest to him. 

Craig is survived by his partner in life, Sally Adams-Reinhart of Casper, Wyoming, his daughter, Jennifer Patterson of Vancouver, Washington, his son, Jared Nielsen (Rachel) of Powell, Wyoming, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He also is survived by his brother, Pete Nielsen (Vicki), two nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Peg Nielsen and son, Cole Alan Nielsen. 

Memorialization will be cremation. There will be a
private service.
