Just as spring brings a fresh outlook to our landscape, Plaza Diane Community Center for the Arts is undergoing transformation that brings new faces, new gallery hours for the public, new contact information, and a new mission statement for the board to work under.

Ashlee Ganoung joined Plaza Diane’s ranks as the new coordinator in March. She brings a full resume of logistical planning, event coordination and nonprofit experience. Ganoung is a 2003 alumni of NWC. She lives near Deaver with her husband and their three children. 

“I’m excited to help guide Plaza Diane toward a bright and productive future, all while helping to continue the Plaza’s commitment to the Powell community,” Ganoung said.

With a new coordinator on board, Plaza Diane will also be changing and extending gallery hours at its downtown location. The facility will now be open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3-6 p.m. The public is welcome to stop in and view the rotating exhibits of artist work featured in the galley, check out the building as potential space for event rental, or welcome Ganoung to Powell. Additional hours will be posted as events take shape.

The Plaza Diane Board of Directors has also worked on revising the organization’s mission statement. This task was undertaken in order to make the mission more concise and straightforward to not only the public and members, but the directors and volunteers who support the Plaza. The revised Mission Statement reads: “Plaza Diane inspires community through creativity and connection.”
