CODY — Park County Open Lands invites the community to its third Annual Community Picnic on Sunday, June 8, from 4-7 p.m. Hosted by Allen and Kris Hogg at the Lazy BV Ranch in Meeteetse, the event offers an opportunity to gather in a working landscape and celebrate the role of private lands in supporting conservation, agriculture, and community in Park County.
This family friendly community event picnic will feature live music by Jillian Nordberg and a catered meal from Bubba's BBQ. Family friendly activities will ensure the picnic is a good time for all ages.
"We are so grateful to Allen and Kris Hogg for hosting this year's community picnic at their Lazy BV Ranch in Meeteetse," said Park County Open Lands Director Alex Few. "This is a rare chance to get out on a private ranch and appreciate all that ranching provides for the community — food for people and habitat for wildlife."
Event host Allen Hogg, who also serves on the Park County Open Lands advisory council, sees the picnic as a chance to grow awareness and support for land conservation across the region.
"We want to congratulate Park County Open Lands on the program's early successes and would really like to take this opportunity to bring what Park County Open Lands offers to the south end of the county," Hogg said.
Picnic tickets are now available online for $15. Children under 12 can attend free of charge. It is recommended that tickets be secured early: jhlandtrust.org/events/pcolpicnic3.

• Two-to-three-hour river trip for two people offered by Gradient Mountain Sports
• Gift basket of chocolate from the Meeteetse Chocolatier ($250 value)
