Park County burn restrictions are no longer being enforced, Park County Fire Marshal Jerry Parker announced Tuesday.
The restrictions will be officially rescinded Oct. 7 at the new Park County Commission meeting. The county follows the Shoshone Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management in regards to burn restrictions. Last week the Forest Service rescinded its restrictions and BLM followed suit Monday.
Restrictions were enacted in late August in the wake of a series of fires around the southern Big Horn Basin and included a ban on fireworks, open fires outside of a fire ring and other restrictions.
