Road surface work is set to start today (Thursday) on a portion of U.S. Highway 14A between Powell and Ralston as Mountain Construction begins the next phase of its lengthy Wyoming Department of Transportation project.
According to an update from WYDOT Resident Engineer Todd Frost of Cody, the contractor has moved all traffic from Road 11 to Fair Street to one lane each direction on the north half of the road.
Rotomilling of the existing surfacing on the south half of the roadway is tentatively scheduled to start on Thursday. Drivers can expect reduced speed through the work zone and flaggers to allow equipment and haul trucks in and out of the work zone.
