A fundraiser is being put on Friday at the Irma Hotel for a Cody woman and her children, who lost their home, possessions and animals in an August house fire.
Amanda Keyes and her children’s rural Cody home burned to the ground, not only destroying property but leading to the death of multiple pets, including dogs and cats.
“Most of the things we lost can eventually be replaced,” Keyes said in a Facebook post soon after the event. “The belongings can be replaced over time. But our animals were family. They were deeply loved, especially by my children, and no material possession could ever replace the love, companionship and memories they gave us.”
The fundraiser dinner and dance is 6-10 p.m. at the Irma Hotel in Cody and includes a pasta bar dinner, live music by Kalyn Beasley and DJ Jeremy Camp, an auction, cash bar and a dance floor.
Tickets cost $45 at the door. Venmo, cash, check, or Zelle accepted.
Every dollar raised goes directly to Keyes and her family as they rebuild, and proceeds from the bar and auction go towards the family.
Donations can also be given via Venmo:
