Ranch Tours
There are four historic ranches at Bighorn Canyon. Each has their own unique story. Come and learn more about those stories from volunteers.
July 11 and 20 – Volunteers Mike and Jennifer will be at the Lockhart Ranch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. They will be giving tours as groups come to the ranch.
Check road and weather conditions at the visitor center in Lovell before heading up to the ranch.
Guided Hikes
July 7 – Join Ranger Emilie and YCC Bishop at Rangers Delight Trail as 9 a.m. to learn about the importance of water in the park and local area.
July 8 – Hike Barry’s Island trail with Ranger David to learn more about the how the mountain men used this area. Meet at the Barry’s Landing parking lot at 9:30 a.m.
July 27 – Join Ranger David and YCC Kaitlynn at Lower Layout Creek at 9:30 a.m. to learn about the Pryor Mountain Wild Horses.
Campfire Program
July 28 – Join Ranger Emilie and YCC Kaitlynn at the Horseshoe Bend amphitheater at 6 p.m. for a fun family campfire sing along. Learn more about the history behind some of your favorite campfire songs and much more.
