Frederick (Fred) Herman Osborn, 82, passed away peacefully in his home in Powell on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Fred was born on April 18, 1942, in LaMoure, North Dakota to George and Margarette Osborn. After high school Fred served in the Army before moving to the Big Horn Basin of Wyoming where he met and married LeeAnn Foubert of Powell on Aug. 10, 1973. Fred and LeeAnn had two children, Aimee and Jason, 10 grandkids and three great-grandkids. Fred worked in the oilfields of Wyoming until retirement in 2010. Fred enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening and tinkering in his shop.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife LeeAnn Osborn (Foubert); his parents George and Margarette Osborn; sisters Marjorie Kvalnes and Claira Hughes; and brother Walter Osborn.
Fred is survived by daughter and son-in-law Aimee and Rod Smith and their children Colby, Drew, Caleb, Miranda, J’Aimée and Hannah, and grandchild Az’Arayah; son and daughter-in-law Jason and Voilet Osborn and their children Ashley, Hope, Auston and Eythan and their grandchildren Emma and Mackenzie; sisters Doris Johansen, Helen Hartman, Mary Jansen and Lillian Muske.
Cremation has already taken place and services will be held at a later date.
