The Cowley Boys may not be appearing on the Pepsi Free Stage this Park County Fair, but their “core,” as fellow member Bret Savage said, will be performing as a duo, known as
D&K Banks.
That includes Dave Banks and his son Kasen. Dave plays rythm guitar and Kasen lead guitar.
“It’ll be an acoustic set of various country and classic rock favorites,” Savage said.
The Cowley Boys are a longtime group now in their 28th year and still play all over the region, but Dave’s son adds a new spark.
Last year Savage, the now “emeritus member” — meaning he fills in with the band when needed — praised Kasen’s skills, calling him a “guitar shredder” and “the teenage sensation.”
The father-son duo will play at 8 p.m. Tuesday on the Pepsi Free Stage.
