Families Living with Parkinson’s (formerly the Parkinson Support Group) invites interested parties to a community picnic on Wednesday, Sept. 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Southside Park located on south Hamilton Street.
This event is open to Parkinson's patients, their families, and caregivers, offering a chance to connect with others in the community who are also affected by the condition. We'll provide drinks and activities — just bring a sack lunch and a comfortable chair!
Parkinson's is a uniquely challenging condition that affects each person differently. We understand that navigating its physical and mental symptoms can feel isolating. Our goal is to create a welcoming space where individuals can share experiences, gain insight, and find support among others who truly understand.
In addition to our picnic, we invite patients, families, and caregivers to join our monthly meetings, currently held in the basement of Rocky Mountain Manor on the first Wednesday of every month at 10 a.m.
Because of our patient’s limitations we are in need of a location that offers ample parking and accessible ground-floor space. For ideas or more information call 307-899-6093.
