Dates and times are set for the next round of public meetings regarding the second phase of development standards and regulations amendments as multiple groups wrap up reviews of the revised document.
Park County Commissioner Dossie Overfield said the Technical Advisory Group wrapped up its review last week and the Park County Planning and Zoning Commission has likewise completed a lengthy review.
Overfield at a Tuesday meeting said the county commissioners will now take a turn reviewing the revised standards during back-to-back days at the end of the month, some of that time alongside planning and zoning members.
“It’s still moving forward,” she said.
Once the commissioners are satisfied, Park County Planning Director Joy Hill said in a release the boards will join together to share a “soft” release of portions of the draft 2027 Development Standards and Regulations at a meeting June 9-11 at six locations around Park County, including Cody, Powell, Clark, Wapiti, Meeteetse and South Fork. She said rural county property owners are encouraged to attend.
“The primary focus will be the zoning maps and uses table, which have been of utmost importance to the public,” Hill said.
Each meeting will open with a brief presentation followed by an open-house-style information gathering session.
According to the official notice, several draft chapters, a new draft of the official zoning map, and the draft use table will be on display.
“It is the County’s intent to review public comment received during the special meeting to refine portions of the draft 2027 DSR before releasing a full adoption draft (all chapters plus the zoning map) for consideration at public hearings later in the year,” the notice reads in part.
County representatives and project consultants will be available for the duration of the meetings to answer questions and gather feedback. Each meeting will open with a brief presentation followed by “open house” style collaboration.
