Special Meeting
Monday, July 8, 2019
Chairman Fulkerson called to order a special meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of Park County, Wyoming, on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 6 p.m. Present were Vice Chairman, Joe Tilden, Commissioners Lee Livingston, Dossie Overfield and Lloyd Thiel, and Clerk Colleen Renner.
Loren Groskopf led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Chairman Fulkerson opened the public hearing for Fiscal Year 2019-20 county budget.
Steve Pomajzl, Accounts Payable gave a summary of the Clerk’s budget message highlighting special funding, insurance, incentive, the four boards, solid waste, county road fund, and E911. The full document is available on line at http://www.parkcounty.us/countyclerk/budget.html
Chairman Fulkerson gave a brief statement regarding no employee raises, health insurance and Wyoming Retirement increases.
Chairman Fulkerson called for public comment. Anna Hardy, Myron Heny, Trisha Tamlin and Marynell Oechsner all questioned the cutting of the recycling centers and the importance of those recycled items not showing up in our landfills. Loren Groskopf had several questions regarding the county road fund, the FLAP project, dollars for the land use and natural resource plans, road oil and solid waste reserve account.
There being no further public comments, Commissioner Livingston made a motion to close the public hearing, Commissioner Thiel seconded, and motion carried.
Chairman Fulkerson thanked the public for coming and giving comments.
Adjourn.
Commissioner Tilden made a motion to adjourn, Commissioner Overfield seconded and the motion carried.
