None of the incumbent county elected officials faced Republican primary opposition, with Sheriff Darrell Steward and Coroner Cody Gortmaker both moving onto the general and to a likely second full term in office, while Assessor Terry Call advances to a likely first full term after being appointed to the position last winter due to the retirement of former Assessor Pat Meyer.
Former circuit and district court deputy clerk Lynell Preston also ran unopposed in the Republican primary and advances to the general election with no declared opponent.
