Construction work moves west on Coulter

Construction along U.S. Highway 14A through Powell has slowed traffic through the heart of town. The project is along the north side of the roadway and is being done by Mountain Construction out of Lovell, with traffic control being done by S&L Industrial out of Cowley.

Construction work is moving forward on the west side of Powell along Coulter Avenue/U.S. Highway 14A as crews complete concrete work on the north side of the roadway from Cheyenne Street to Division Street. According to WYDOT District Engineer Todd Frost, the one lane closure will be removed from Cheyenne Street to Division Street once this work is completed.

The lane closure has now been extended from Division Street to Mountain View Street. Concrete work will continue from Division Street to Edmonds Street on the north side of the roadway and possibly to Mountain View Street depending on weather.

Expect reduced speed limit to 25 mph through the work zone with possible stopped conditions.
